I feel kind of stupid, but I actually wrote this post on Thursday, the 4th, but forgot to post it until just now. Whoops. Anyway, here it is.
Kinley had another visit from her home health nurse today, which meant that Kinley had to be weighed again. Kinley hates getting naked and being put on that cold, hard scale so much. Can't say that I blame her. Good news though, Kinley had more weight gain. As of today, Kinley weighs 12 lbs and 2 oz! According to the home health nurse Kinley gained 22 grams per day for the past 2 weeks, which is the last time she was weighed on that same scale. It is also about the same time that we started taking her NG tube out during the days, so maybe that is helping. Either way, it is good weight gain. Keep it up Kinley!!
In other news, yesterday was sort of a trial run of what's to come for Kevin and I. That's because yesterday Kevin and I both worked. (I took some more time off when Kinley was discharged to help get a routine down at home. Taking care of Kinley at home is a huge change for us and much different than the routine we had when Kinley was in the hospital.) Kevin worked in the morning, so I had morning Kinley duty. Then we saw each other for an hour or so, made the switch and I was off to work for the evening while Kevin stayed with Kinley. Overall I think the trial run went pretty good. We will have to see how it works on a daily basis though.

Kinley is doing fantastic with her weight gain! It's great that you guys have been able to work out a schedule to take care of Kinley at home. It's such a hard thing to do for so many parents. We have also been very fortunate to be able to change some things at work to be home with Sofie. It's been such a blessing for us!
