Together with Sofia's mom and dad, Kevin and I are co-hosting a blood drive in honor of Kinley and Sofia's fight against CDH. Kinley and Sofia both needed multiple blood transfusions while at Children's Mercy hospital, especially while on ECMO. Part of the reason both girls are doing so well today is because of blood donors. Please come out on Thursday, March 19th to donate blood and help us save the lives of other babies like Kinley and Sofia! The blood drive will be held at 908 Broadway, KC, MO from 9-2. To sign up for a time slot to donate:
1) Go to http://www.savealifenow.org/
2) Click on "schedule an appointment" on the right hand side of the screen
3) Enter sponsor code - sofia
4) Pick a time that works for you
That is it. Kevin and I are already signed up and we encourage you to do so as well. It truly is a great cause and will help so many people in need.

That's awesome, guys. I hope it's okay that I posted your link on my blog to encourage people to donate blood even though we live a ways from you. :) Hopefully it will encourage others to give no matter where they are! Thanks for the reminder. :)
Well, I won't make it to Kansas to give blood there, but I am giving blood in honor of Kinley and Sofia, here in MN on April 1! What a great idea and so worthy to honor not only Kinley and Sofi, but all CDH babies! Thanks Kathy and Jennifer for doing this and for making people aware of such a critical need.
Hi! I would love to be in Kansas to celebrate the lives of Kinley and Sofie at the blood drive! Too bad it is so far away! We will be donating blood at Minneapolis Children's Hospital where they serve the CDH families in Minnesota. We are honored to donate in Kinley's name and pray that all the little ones that come through MCH are as blessed as Kinley and Sofie have been! You guys are amazing!
